Happy 31st Birthday Lisa !!!!
Hi Lisa.... Happy 31st Birthday.....ummm.....well....I never know what to write in my friend's birthday cards, let alone my idol haha.. anyway.... I hope you get lots of cool presents & eat a lot of cake. I also hope you enjoy the tribute CD. I would like to apologise in advance for wrecking your songs - I hope you dont mind too much and dont feel the need to sue us for copyright breaches or anything haha :-) Anyway, I am eagerly awaiting the announcement of an Australian visit.. you have to promise me you'll come to Perth though (Western Australia) because most artists forget there is a whole other coast to Australia haha....although Jewel & Mariah Carey have been here... anyway, I am babbling because I am overtired.... so...Happy Birthday & all the best Cheers

Happy birthday, Lisa Loeb. Of your music, I've listened all I can get my hands on. From your earliest college demo tapes to your most recent CDs, there is something about your music, your sound, that really draws me. Perhaps it's your introspective lyrics, perhaps it's the lilt of your voice, or perhaps it's the way you strum your guitar. I'm not sure what it is, but it's drawn me back again and again to everything you've sung, from Days Were Different to Firecracker. You've inspired me, and inspired thousands of other girls as well, to pick up a guitar and sing. I know I'm no singer--you can judge for yourself on the CD--but it makes me feel good to play guitar and to sing. Thank you for the gift of your music. It means a lot to me, and I wish you the happiest of birthdays. Sincerely,
Annie R. Lin (annielin@rice.edu) http://www.owlnet.rice.edu/~annielin Rice University '02 ps - Thank you for the autographed photos last time. If you'd ever like any more caricatures, just let me know. It's fun to draw you. (It's also fun to draw Ross Perot, but not fun in the same way).
Dear Lisa, I hope that you have a marvelous birthday. You certainly deserve it. Your music is like a haven. It voices so many of life's unspoken characteristics. Good luck in all you do

Hey Lisa ~ How are you? I don't know if you remember me or not but this is Steven. We met back in April '98 after a club show you did here in Utah. You were very nice and talked to me for a few minutes & had enough patience to sign 3 different things for me. Thank you! I really do appreciate it. I want to wish you a "Happy Birthday" of course. I'm sure you'll receive a lot of nice gifts. Your brother, Ben, has been really cool in keeping in contact with me via email. Tell him I appreciate that a lot. I look forward to future albums by you & 9 Stories...especially those like "Tails" which is by far your best work. Hope to see you on the road again. You put on a great live show! Happy B-day!

Dear Lisa, I want to wish you a Very Happy Birthday!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My birthday is the 26th. I will be 10. Do you remember last year around your birthday, I was able to get a letter to you in Louisville at your concert? You were very very nice and wrote me back and answered my letter and told me what you got for your birthday. In Cincinnati I got to meet you. I made you cookies and you liked them and gave me a autograph picture and a pick. I got my picture made with you about four times and Dweezil was also there. The pictures turned out great!!!!!!!!!!! I want to give you one sometime. I have seen you in concert 4 times. I got a new guitar. It is a mint green Danelectro. It is like the one you played on Cupid. Thanks to you I am still taking guitar lessons. I will have my 3rd recital next month. I hope to be able to meet you again so you can tell me what you got this year. HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!! LOVE

Hi Lisa! I got to know your music by seeing you on Hard Rock Live on VH1 a while back. I went out and got Tails and Firecracker immediately and I love both of them. I hope that you have a great birthday and that I will get to see you in concert before too long somewhere.

Happy Birthday Lisa!!! I've got to thank you very much for signing my Firecracker album cover after the concert @9:30 club in WDC. I have had it mounted and framed. And, it hangs proudly on our wall where we get to see it fequently. I do have both your CD's and love them both. But, Firecracker hold a special place for me. It moves me to thank you for being such a lovely lady. Thank-you, Thank-you, Thank-you!!!

Happy birthday, Lisa Loeb! I discovered your music last summer, and it has meant a lot to me ever since. I don't know if it's the lyrics, melodies or arrangements. Probably all. I would like to thank you for inspiring me to pick up the guitar. I have played a lot the last few months, and learned a lot of your songs. I hope you come to Norway some day. I've heard you're such a great live performer! By the way, it was really cool that you won the Gibson awards! You really deserved it. Hope you have a great birthday with lots of cake, presents and good friends. Have a wonderful year and good luck with all your projects. Harald

Ok what to write what to write??? I could start by saying happy birthday... so i will.. I still cannot comprehend you are over 30 when you look about 21.. ( thats a compliment by the way !!).. I wish you could have greater success in the UK but hey thats the way it is i suppose.. i still think your great.. Its amazing how many people think you are really good over here but yet top 40 success aludes you.. I do belive that "I Do" would have gained top 40 status if it had had better serculation ( wrong spelling but thats not my strong point) i.e. Woolworths, virgin, HMV and ourprice... as it was it was only in virgin, HMV and our price and there is not a large amount of these stores unlike woolworths of which there is one in every town.. enough of my preeching.. TOUR THE U.K.... GOOD LUCK ... HAPPY BIRTHDAY AND I lost my virgintiy to your first album.. bet that pleases you !! MANY HAPPY RETURNS

Happy 31st B-Day Lisa!!!! I hope it's great. I never know what to say on these cards, or E-mails, so..........Happy Birthday! Sorry I didn't leave anything on the tribute tape, I'd never heard about it. I do love playing the guitar, though. I love your music dearly, and am TRYING to learn the tabs to "Stay" I have a colage of you all over my door. You are the BEST, and I give you all my best wishes. I would love to hear from you, so drop the line anytime you feel like it. Thanks for your time, I know you have a lot of these to read.

Lisa ... Happy 31st! You don't look a day over 21! Thank you so much for being who you are ... I truly adore your music, and can say that of all the songs I've heard you perform (from unreleased versions of songs to college demo tapes to your regular Cd's), I've never heard one that I didn't absolutely adore... "Hurricane" is my favorite. Your music is so inspiring ... it is because of you that I begged my parents for an acoustic guitar a couple years ago, taught myself how to play, and began writing songs. Now, I'm 15, have people's interest, and only you to thank for it. I absolutely love it when people compare my songs to yours ... or even when they compare my glasses to yours! I am so proud to display my huge Lisa Loeb Scrapbook of newspaper articles, magazine clippings, and photos of the most beautiful person this side of Timbuktu :). I wish you only the best, and hope that one of these days, I'll be able to shake your hand again and get another autograph to proudly show off to my friends! I love you dearly with all my heart, and I hope you have a wonderful birthday.

Am I late? You don't know me. I am a guy. I don't have websites about you. I don't have any e-mail addresses whose names are taken from your songs. I haven't seen one of your concerts. I don't have any of your autographed stuff. Worse, I don't have that Purple Tape (it's hard to find that thing in my country). Many here in my place don't like you because they're into the Mariah stuff, I'm not like them. I know I'm not really mailing this directly to you but if you read this thing of mine, I'll be happy. Happy Birthday, Lisa. P.S. I really like the way you make me feel good. You're one of the few people who make me relax.

* Lisa, I don't know if you'll get to see this--but happy birthday! I love your music, I've never seen you in concert (hint--come to Blossom, in Cleveland, Ohio. Okay?), I'd love to meet you because your music inspires me. In a small way, your music is part of the reason I've started teaching myself guitar. I could go on and on about why your music is so special to me...but I'll save the story for another time. Like when I meet you, if that should ever happen. Again, happy birthday and eat lots of ice cream and cake. Hope you get lots of presents too!
Love

Lisa, Happy Birthday!!! This past year I've felt like a recruitment committee. I brought your music to a small town where I attend college, and now have the whole school listening to you. They love you and your music! I've had glasses like you for as long as I can remember, so for the past 2 years I've been you for Halloween, which I'm sure sounds really weird. (especially since I'm 20) But me and the town of Thatcher, Az, are waiting for you to come back to Scottsdale. Hope to see you soon. Krystlle
